Bruce Jordan is ADR Collaborative Training certified and is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Civil Mediator.
Most recently, Bruce served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Fresh Del Monte Produce Incorporated. For 20 years, he oversaw the legal function for this NYSE-listed, global producer, marketer, and distributor of produce and other food products that generated over $4B in sales in 2018. Bruce partnered with executive management, the Chairman, and Board of Directors and advised on legal issues.
Bruce managed a $12M budget and led a 6-person team that handled legal and compliance matters, including litigation and claims management, labor and employment, environmental, global patent and trademark portfolio, insurance, shipping and ports, risk management, contracts, sales and marketing, operations, production, media and investor relations, and corporate policies and procedures. He supervised attorneys in Central and South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East in daily operations and strategic business transactions.
Bruce advised the executive leadership team on land and asset acquisition strategies, including a $403M acquisition in Costa Rica that increased production capabilities by 33%; and a $340M acquisition of Cirio Del Monte Europe assets. Notably, he was recognized as a finalist for “Dealmaker of the Year” in 2008 by The Daily Business Review for the Costa Rica acquisition.
Prior to Fresh Del Monte, Bruce was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Steiner Leisure Ltd., a NASDAQ-listed global operator and provider of spa, beauty, and health products and services on cruise ships, hotels and resorts, and training schools in the U.S. and UK. He created and led a global in-house legal function, including developing and implementing policies, procedures, best practices, and controls to reduce litigation expenses and improve efficiency.
Bruce was also the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Pediatrix Medical Group Inc., providing legal expertise to the NYSE-listed physician management company which supplied neonatology and perinatology services to hospitals in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Responsibilities included SEC/NYSE regulatory compliance; online physician best practices training and network consultations; hospital, insurance provider, and physician contracts; risk management; labor and employment; trademarks; and real property matters.
Bruce began his career as a Staff Attorney at Atwood Oceanics Inc., a publicly traded, Houston-based international offshore drilling company, followed by four years as Assistant General Counsel at Carnival Cruise Lines Inc.
